Fumigation is a method of pest control that completely fills an enclosed area with gaseous pesticides or fumigants to suffocate or poison the pests within. It is utilized for control of pests in grains and produce, and is also used during processing of goods to be imported or exported to prevent transfer of exotic organisms.

Our RUFFTARP® range of FUMIGATION COVERS have proved to be ideal for this purpose .These are three dimensional covers made of 125/150/200 GSM fabric which is essentially moisture and gas proof. Normally the principal fumigants used for this work are methyl bromide, phosphine, Ethylene oxide and HCN. These covers are meant to retain fumigant vapors of these gases for a sufficient time when placed over material to be protected against reinfestation, contamination by bird droppings, water leaks, dust and dirt.

If the floor is not moisture and gasproof, a cut to size fabric with edges hemmed called DUNNAGE is placed on the floor and the stack built above it. Fabricated from 200/250/300 GSM fabric a Dunnage essentially has good tearing strength besides being moisture and gas proof.

We also make SANDBAGS. These are placed along the sides of the FUMIGATION COVER to give an airtight seal.
